Workshops : PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION: Each Workshop will have three sessions. 11pm-1pm 2pm-4pm and 4pm-6pm. There will be 8 openings for photographers to shoot per session, at $50 per photographer each session,$90 for two, or $125 if you wish to reserve all three sessions. This money goes toward the costs of paying the MUA's and stylists fees, and booking the models who sit for the workshop. The fee includes our non-commercial release (a copy of which can be downloaded from the forms section of this site) any alternate releases for further compensation must be negotiated between the photographer and model separately. The models will change makeup and outfits between sessions. We will have a hairstylist and a MUA. We will have a minimum of 4 models. We will have two sets, one continuous light setup, one studio strobe setup run workshop style in a one shooter at a time fashion, and we also will be using a 10'x10' room with a window for ambient light. The studio is located in East Rutherford, but we also use outside studios. Please make sure you know which studio your shoot will be held in for the workshop you are signing up for. To sign up for a workshop session, you must email me directly, vixstudios@gmail.com, or use one of the Paypal links on the group sites, and I will send you the address when I confirm your reservation. In order to sign up you must send me the payment at least 2 days prior to the start of the workshop. If you do not receive confirmation email that you are signed up, then you are not on the list for the workshop, and you may not attend. You are most welcome to join us at the meeting. Payments must be made in advance, unless other arrangements are agreed to, and refunds will not be given unless cancellation is made at least 2 days in advance. We accept payment through Paypal- which allows you to pay with any major credit card or bank draft- cash or money order.

About Us : Come network with fellow industry related individuals in the Northern NJ/NYC area to meet and discuss current trends, tips and ideas. Then Photographers, Models, MUA's, Stylists, Designers, Fashionistas, etc., can collaborate to get some shoots done, build our books, and some great images created. We will be setting up workshops both in studio and outdoors. All topics and styles of photography will be welcome- just make sure to bring a positive attitude! The OFFICIAL Meet-up meeting is a meet and greet style meeting. This will be a meeting to get together, talk about the group, discuss photography and related issues. The meet & greet is designed as a chance to meet new people, swap stories with old friends and make plans for new and exciting collaborations. It is not designed as a shootout. It's also a NO-PRESSURE environment meant to encourage everyone to have fun while getting their work seen by more of the local community. As such, it would be a very good idea to bring portfolios with you, particularly if you are a photographer, model or MUA so that people can familiarize themselves with your work. It's also a good idea to come prepared to shoot, even if you don't expect to do so. All we DO ask that you bring is a positive attitude, and some cash to cover the bill if you have coffee or dessert.
